With the temperature rising, so must our denim hems! While most women over 50 are not going to venture into the “daisy duke” territory, and may be a bit traumatized by the whole jort trend, in cropped jeans, there is still a stylish way to keep cool in your beloved denim. With a bevy of popular full-length jean styles, you might already know just what you like from a jean- boyfriend, straight-legged, boot-cut, etc. Luckily, these cuts are also available in cropped denim so let that be your starting point when shopping.

Yep. That’s our number one reason, past beating the heat, that we love our short-pants. Especially during the summer, considering all the wedges, glitzy sandals, and adorable sneakers. But! In terms of keeping the long line of the leg, there are two different styles of cropped: capri length, and ankle length. Shorter women should stick with the ankle-crop, and a skinnier ankle opening. Those who have the luck of being taller can broaden their search a bit to include the wider, flare, and capri-length fashions. So, unlike other pant trends, the cropped jean has a style for every body type – just like its full-length family members!
