The Ultimate Cover-Ups for Fabulous Poolside Fashion

The weather is getting warmer every day. The pool and beach are calling. In our teenage years and even into our forties, we wore cut-offs, shorts and/or tees as our swimsuit cover-up of choice. On occasion, we’d embrace the sarong, but always relegated our summer investment pieces to lacy dresses and skirts.

Now is the time to rethink the importance of poolside fashion by way of a fabulous, sexy cover up. There are more choices than ever, with maxi dresses, caftans and kimonos everywhere you look. Enjoy the summer poolside activities while appearing cool and chic. An airy, beautiful caftan or cover up is what we like to refer to as a game-changer. Why wear shorts or sit draped in a towel when there is a beach dress that looks just as beautiful reading oceanside as it does for post-beach cocktails?

These gorgeous poolside fashions make you feel and look feminine, not frumpy. Pair with flip flops or flat sandals for day, then dress them up with a small heel and some fun statement jewelry for evening get-togethers.

Since we all have learned our lesson about the damage the sun can wreak on our skin, make sure you complete your poolside fashion with a dramatic sun hat. Of course, we have included some favorites for good measure. Now, channel your glamorous inner goddess and let’s shop!
