The Royal Ascot – Britain’s most valuable race meeting and social calendar, dating back to 1711. The world’s finest racehorses come to compete for more than £5.5milllion in prize money.
Attended by Her Majesty The Queen (every Royal Meeting during her reign), and members of The Royal Family, who arrives each day in horse drawn carriages at the start of each race. These five days are made for schmoozing and socialising. Be sure to stay clear of the general public!

What to Wear – Dress to impress: Style Guide
Women – Smart day wear, with a statement hat. Dresses should be on the knee or below, NO miniskirts, strapless dresses or spaghetti straps. Outfits will be scrutinized by the press but awards are given to winners of Best Dressed Couples – prizes such as his & hers Rolex watches!
Men – should wear morning suit & top hats. Suits are a must in Grandstand & boxes.
When to Go – Ladies Day (Thursday 18 June) the most captivating day in British sporting.
How to Arrive – Preferably by a driver.
Which Area to be In – Royal Enclosure, Grandstand & boxes.
Do’s – Make an effort with your outfit and hat, elegance is key. Keep an eye out for the Queen & the Royals when they formally open Ascot by parading in horse drawn carriages on the course.
Don’ts – Get so sloshed (drunk) you can’t walk and/or talk. This is not a good look as you will notice it happening to others.
