How to Encourage New Hair Growth

Better Not Younger Hair products

Sponsored post

No one wants thin hair. Luckily, there are some tremendous products on the market nowadays to combat aging, thinning hair and promote hair growth. I tried out the Better Not Younger hair products in hopes of correcting my thinning hair.

It’s odd to look in the mirror or at a picture of yourself and realize that you have half of the hair you once did. I know because at some point last year I realized I had lost a substantial amount of hair. I am only 40, so needless to say I found this stunning. I’ve always had thin hair, so I couldn’t really afford to lose any without it being extremely noticeable.

Over the last few years, I have experienced high levels of stress that I think ultimately led to my hair falling out. My son had a brain tumor and I am happy to report that he’s had successful surgery and is doing well. However, by the time we got done going through the whole situation, you could physically see how stress had taken a toll on me. This is why I jumped at the chance to review Better Not Younger hair products.

I’ve been using several of the products, and I am already experiencing new hair growth throughout my hair. If you’ve had children, remember after you had a baby and you had all that new hair growing in? That is what is happening. After just one month I am thrilled with the results. I am going to break down exactly what I’ve been doing to encourage hair growth.Better Not Younger

I’ve been using five products consistently and one sporadically.

  • Better Not Younger Significant Other: A Hair, Skin & Nails Dietary Supplement
  • Better Not Younger Second Chance Shampoo
  • Better Not Younger Second Chance Conditioner
  • Better Not Younger Hair Redemption: A Restorative Butter Masque
  • Better Not Younger Power Within: A Collagen Gummie
  • Better Not Younger Superpower: A Fortifying Hair & Scalp Serum

Shampoo and Conditioner

I chose to use the Second Chance Shampoo and Conditioner. I do not color my hair, but if you looked at it you would almost think I did. Even after my last haircut it looked damaged, which to be honest was disappointing to me. I thought somehow a haircut would make it look better. I started using the shampoo and conditioner in hopes that it would resolve whatever was causing this. I do use a lot of heat products on my hair like a curling iron. I have attempted to back off of using my curling iron, but it’s hard not to use it when my hair looks so stringy. There are four ingredients in the Second Chance Shampoo I thought would help me:

  • Betula Alba (Birch) Bark Extract – Rich in Vitamins B1, B2, A, C, E.
  • Rice Bran Oil – rich in amino acids, and protein. This can help strengthen the hair shaft against environmental stress while providing body to the hair. (I desperately wanted more body to my hair.)
  • Passiflora Incarnata (Passion Flower) Fruit Extract – Rich in Vitamin A, C, linoleic acid, and omega -6fatty acids. These can help slow damage by free radicals, enrich the scalp.
  • Argania Spinosa (Argan) Oil – rich in natural phenols, can help support hair follicle health and maintain scalp and hair from drying out.

Vitamins

I am not a consistent vitamin taker, and I have never taken vitamins specifically for hair. I am taking 2 gummies every day. I think implementing this one product likely made a huge difference. Their supplement gummy for hair is loaded with vitamin A, C, D3, E, B6, folic acid, vitamin B12, and biotin. I also took the collagen supplement. I had no idea taking a collagen supplement would help your scalp.

Hair Masque

Two or three times a week I have been using the hair masque as well. It is packed with vitamin E, natural mango, macadamia, avocado, cupuaçu, and murumuru butters. I like the way it left my hair feeling.
