Video: Is Your Core Exercise Hurting Your Lower Back?

core exercises cause back pain

As far as core exercise goes, crunches have always been the go-to for flatter stomachs. But are you hurting your back by doing them? Chances are, the answer is yes. Even doing crunches using an exercise ball is a no-no due to the amount of range it allows. What we need, especially as women over 50 (and in our prime), is a way to work our core without ending up in a chiropractor’s office. How do we do that? Simple. We need to move other parts of our body and use our core to stabilize us through those motions.

Debra Atkinson of @Flipping50TV shares her insight and an excellent exercise that will tighten and strengthen that core without doing unnecessary damage to your discs! Visit our Prime Women YouTube channel and get started today. Be kind to your backs, ladies! Practice this core exercise.
