When you think of fall, you probably envision cooling temperatures, falling leaves, and all things pumpkin spice (love it or hate it, we see it pop up every year like clockwork). What I really love about fall, though, is the changing colors. It seems like all of my favorite shades of nature start to shine through – and I love every minute of it.
While my clothes tend to reflect warmer colors as the weather cools, I also like to work them into my accessories. For me, there are few better places to do that than with my nail colors. I enjoy the look that a light brown or deep red gives them. They aren’t colors I typically use during the summer, so when the time comes to get them back out, I savor the moment.
While I typically stay pretty neutral with my nail colors throughout the year, I love to play with various shades for the holidays. Add a black tip for Halloween, or try a fabulous shade of green and really have some fun. I will admit, though, I’ve never gone full-on orange, and I don’t know that I ever will. I like to leave the pumpkin where it belongs – in my coffee cup and chocolate chip cookies. But if that’s your style, I say live it up! Life’s too short not to think outside the box every once in a while.
With that, here are some fabulous fall shades for your nails. Which will you try first?
Embrace the warmth of autumn with brown nails. The deep, rich hue exudes sophistication and pairs perfectly with cozy sweaters and hot chocolate by the fireplace. Brown nails are a subtle nod to the changing leaves and the comforting aroma of freshly baked goods.
