Pink is ubiquitous when it comes to fashion. However, there hasn’t always been such a variety in shades of pink available, allowing women of all ages (basically-anyone over 13).
This new ‘pink revolution’ all began in the unlikeliest of corners of design: technology. Apple introduced us to Rose Gold, which progressed into the ballet-slipper-esque Millineal Pink. At the same time, women’s rights have come to the forefront, with the first Million Women March sporting beanies with cat ears, catapulting the “pink pussy hat” into mainstream culture. Designers were listening, because by the Fall of the same year, the vivid magenta shade was all over runways.
