Today I did one of my favorite things: I went to see my hairdresser. You wouldn’t know it’s one of my favorite things because I wait too long between visits, and my roots grow out, and by the time I get there, I’m a bit of a mess. I blame it on being forgetful because it honestly feels like I was just there, but alas, I wasn’t.
As my stylist was looking at my hair and we were discussing what she was going to do today (lighten it and trim off the dead ends, my usual boring order), she started lifting shorter strands at the top. She asked me if I’d had some hair loss in the recent past, and I reminded her of my run-in with clarifying shampoo and all the hair I watched wash down the drain. She remembered my devastating experience from a few months back and asked me about the supplement I’d used to try to fix the hair loss issue. I pointed out that my new hair growth seemed to answer her question: SottoPelle® Hair Repair Formula works.
The Hair Cycle
On average, people have 100,000 hairs on their heads. Those hairs go through a life cycle of sorts, in which they have a growing phase, a resting phase, a transitioning phase, and a shedding phase. During the typical life cycle, even when everything is working as it should, people lose, on average, 50-150 hairs a day. That’s why seeing a nominal amount of hair in our brush or shower isn’t anything to be concerned about. However, when you have already thin or thinning hair, it seems like a ton of hair is going down the drain. The amount that we lose outside of the natural shedding depends on a number of factors, some that are in our control and some that are out of it.
Causes of Hair Loss
Hair loss can be caused by a variety of reasons. The most common include:
- Genetics
- Hormonal changes
- Stress
- Environmental factors
- Improper care or nutrition
- Medications, medical procedures, or medical conditions
- Age
While some of the causes are out of our control (unless you can tell me how to stop aging), there are some changes we can make to slow or even stop hair loss. The cause of my hair loss, for example, was the overuse of clarifying shampoo because of a lack of knowledge about the product. I used it too often, and it began to destroy my healthy hair after it removed all of the impurities, causing my hair to thin every time I took a shower or brushed through it. I was lucky because it was an easy fix – I simply stopped using the shampoo except on a very limited basis, and my excessive hair loss quickly came to an end.
Others might find themselves equally fortunate and are able to prevent hair loss by giving up specific hair products, avoiding environmental factors, or trying to alleviate extensive stress that can cause hair to fall out unnaturally. Regardless of whether you can slow or stop the cause of your hair loss, the damage has already been done. Now the next question: what can you do about it?
Solutions
I was fortunate because my stylist was able to help me get my hair back on track quickly with the use of an easy and affordable supplement: SottoPelle® Hair Repair Formula. During the first months of use, my hair started coming back in thicker and fuller, and while I felt like I could see the difference in my hair on a daily basis, having my stylist point it out today was an exhilarating moment. As she colored and foiled my hair, we chatted about SottoPelle® and the difference she’d seen in other clients’ hair over the past few years. I’m not the only one that’s seen an increased growth rate and new hair growth; she said it’s somewhat familiar among those that have used it.
That made sense to me because it matched what I’d seen when I initially ordered the supplement from Amazon several months ago. I’m really big on user reviews, especially when they’re verified, and what I saw on the product page was encouraging. While there weren’t a ton of reviews, they were all positive. 5 out of 5 stars, in fact. I saw phrases like “I’ve seen the results; my hair is growing back faster.” and “…in 9 months of using SottoPelle®’s Hair Repair Supplement, my hair is now stronger and fuller than ever before.”
They were glowing reviews from complete strangers – but women whose experiences have matched my own. Looking at the science, it makes sense, though. The main ingredient, Saw Palmetto, helps keep the hair growth cycle intact by inhibiting specific enzymes and blocking excess DHT from forming on the scalp. Other ingredients include familiar names like d-Biotin, Zinc, and Selenium, which work to stimulate scalp health. These supply a steady stream of essential nutrients and, thus, promote an environment that can stop hair loss while encouraging hair growth.
Conclusion
So, that’s my story – my progress report of something good that can come from a bad experience. As I left the salon today, I was proud to take some selfies and share them around with my family. Granted, tomorrow, I’ll style it, and it won’t be near as selfie-worthy, but for one day, I dazzled.
