If you’ve quit doing squats because they make your knees hurt, we have great news. Debra Atkinson from @Flipping50TV made a video for Prime Women that shows how to do squats without knee pain.
Turns out, the key is to flex at ankles knees and hips – not rely on movement through the back. To not overdo, imagine your toes are against a wall. Then, when you squat, you want to make sure your knees would just touch the wall. They shouldn’t go past your toes! You can tell you’re doing it right if you can wiggle your toes!
If you follow the instructions in Debra’s video and still experience knee pain, she’ll be focusing on how to do lower body exercises without squats or lunges soon.
