With so many venues requiring clear handbags for safety, we figured it was time to dig down, accept the typically tacky accessory as a part of our current reality. Then we had to find some clear handbags worth buying. (They do exist….don’t they?)
Luckily: Yes.
From the runways to the mean streets, all ages have adopted the futuristic trend of PVC. This is not a new obsession, however. Even Elizabeth Taylor once favored the kitsch of the lucite bag in the 50s, now collectors items!
If you’re afraid of the messy contents of your bag, or letting the world know how many opened cough drops lie at the bottom, a clear bag can be a swift call to action. Do you really need that extra 5 or 10 pounds weighing you down, day after day. Maybe then the clear bag trend is the best thing for you, as the state of the contents of a lady’s purse often mimics the zen or chaos of a woman’s mind.
Luckily: This dose of zen comes with brightly colored piping, and quilted stitching!
Take advantage of the times you carry the PVC trend on your arm; there are some really amazing accessories out there in all categories embracing this trend, from shoes to raincoats.
