I, for one, love September.
Ever since I was a boy, my mom used September-October as a time to do a big fall clean. It was an overhaul of sorts that restored our home and made it a pleasurable place to live.
As a Hair Colorist, I also look to fall as a time of making over a person with a fall hair color. It’s a time to take sun bleached, chlorinated hair, faded in color, lifeless in texture, and do our Fall Overhaul.
This year hair painting is on the ticket. Hair painting allows your colorist to use several shades of color. Between each color we divide with plastic wrap or hair paper, allowing us to create dimension in the hair color.
Hair painting allows us the ability to add a chestnut under glow to our brunettes, transitioning blondes from honey, gold, and baby blonde on hair ends.
On our Red Heads, it allows us to combine a coppery base with a titian face frame. The sheer artistry of hair color is in a paintbrush, a bowl, and a little bit of plastic.
So, girls, ask your colorist if they do Hair Painting and restore your hair to a shimmering fall color that glows and moves.
Remember 1 piece of advice: use Paul Labrecque Color Shampoo and Conditioner. These are the most fabulous two products to use that will lock your color in and protect it from the oxidation of the sun. Both are available on www.paullabrecque.com
