Fashion from Target? Don’t jump to conclusions. Although Target may not be where you normally shop for your clothing, they are stepping up their game with Prologue, a new brand that boasts “versatile must-haves” and “styles that are forever, yet forward.”
That’s the thing about great design; it fits every shape and size showcasing the wearer and designer’s taste. You can tell Target put a lot of thought into elevating the availability of affordable workwear while considering what women really want at the heart of it all. The ease in mix-and-match layers of the pieces is evident, as they build on timeless essentials: blouses, skirts, coats, trousers and dresses.
Minimalism was the focus. As so many designers who embody the minimalist aesthetic can be pricey, Target saw the need and answered the call. Inside this collection is a wide array of upscale textures via the textiles chosen, which include matte satin, crepe de chin, and twill. The blouses are reminiscent of illuminated lanterns, for example, but are crafted in wrinkle-resistant fabrics and material that removes the typical worry of see-through shirting.
All of that effort and quality, with price points of $12.99-$49.99 has us swooning… Prologue joins the ever-growing list of Target-owned brands that have been very successful for the retail chain. A New Day features “go-to modern classics,” with Ava & Viv focusing on modern cuts for curvy women, Universal Thread denim and more.
