You’ve met fitness expert Debra Atkinson @flipping50TV in her numerous posts for Prime Women on fitness for women over 50. Now, we are happy to share six exercises for toned arms, so you can proudly go sleeveless this summer. This exercise video series for women in their prime demonstrates the best exercises, and most importantly, how to do them safely.
Are you ready to go sleeveless?
According to Debra, getting gorgeous arms that make you want to wear those sleeveless styles takes more than just working your small muscles. No matter what you do, they won’t boost your metabolism enough to really make a visible difference in that bicep. What will work is combining those arm exercises with some major muscle group workouts.
Next, if you really want to lose those bat wings, you will need to cut back on those carbohydrates we all love so much. Increase your good protein and fiber and you’ll have a better chance of seeing a lovely bicep emerge.

Remember, always go slow and steady while holding good form. Choose a comfortable weight that you can perform at least 8 repetitions when you start to feel the burn.
- Bicep curls: 8-10 reps each time.
- Long lever: 10 reps each time
- Combine the long lever with a bicep curl: 10 each
- Kickback: 10 each
- Back long lever: 10 each
- Combine the kickback with the back long lever: 10 each
