Skin Rejuvenation Procedure for Maximum Results and Minimal Downtime

While the principles of lasers were first proposed by Albert Einstein over one hundred years ago, it is within the past twenty to thirty years that lasers are used to provide rejuvenation of the skin. There are a variety of different laser systems used today to resurface the skin, reduce fine wrinkles or to target unwanted blemishes such as age spots or small blood vessels.

When used in a skin rejuvenation procedure to resurface skin, the laser works via ablative or non-ablative methods, reducing fine wrinkles and tightening skin that naturally becomes looser with time. Ablative methods of skin resurfacing include CO2 and Erbium, which remove the superficial skin layer to reduce and eliminate wrinkles.

While results can be impressive, traditional ablative laser resurfacing is associated with a prolonged recovery time, prompting the development of non-ablative facial resurfacing.

Non-ablative methods for facial rejuvenation include intense pulsed light (IPL), pulsed dye laser (PDL), and radio frequency skin tightening. Non-ablative facial rejuvenation has quicker recovery time but often does not achieve results as significant as ablative skin rejuvenation.

Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser

For the first time, there is a laser system that combines both non-ablative and ablative skin rejuvenation. The Halo hybrid fractional laser, offers the most significant results with shortest recovery time of any laser system on the market today.

At Clinique Dallas MedSpa and Laser Center, we use Halo fractional skin resurfacing for skin rejuvenation. We are seeing improved skin tone and texture with significant removal of skin discoloration, as well as reduction in fine wrinkles of the face.

With a combination of topical anesthetics and skin cooling, the skin rejuvenation procedure is associated with minimal discomfort. Since Halo hybrid skin resurfacing does not result in unwanted side effects that occur following traditional ablative skin resurfacing, patients wear makeup and return to public activities twenty-four hours following the procedure.

Skin will peel three to five days following the procedure to reveal the underlying rejuvenated skin. Deeper pigmented structures improve two to three weeks following the procedure.

Check your area for availability of the new Halo hybrid fractional laser technology.
