Finding the perfect Valentine’s Day cocktail has never been easier. Recipes abound on Pinterest and Instagram, and cocktails have made a big comeback and are far more imaginative than the old gin and tonic. Sex and the City (which keeps making a mighty comeback) may have started the trend with women everywhere ordering a Cosmopolitan rather than a chardonnay.
While Cosmopolitans are still great cocktails and make a very pretty Valentine’s Day drink, we’ve selected four cocktails that are not only very pretty but absolutely delicious. Whether you are celebrating the day with someone special or diving into a great book for an evening alone, mix up one of our special cocktails and celebrate Valentine’s Day!
Clayton’s Margarita Holiday Style
This great recipe is from The Defined Dish. Clayton’s Holiday Margarita is a favorite of the CEO and Co-Founder of Prime Women, Dorthy Shore (featured above). We think once you try it, this margarita will be one of your favorites for holidays and non-holidays alike. The special ingredient is egg whites, so don’t skip them. Make up a batch, and enjoy!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup of good tequila

- 1 tsp egg whites (fresh or out of the carton is fine!)
- salt for glass rims
INSTRUCTIONS:
-
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until very frothy.
