What Jill Allison Bryan is Thankful for

  • I’m grateful for my daughter (20) and our precious relationship. We’ve endured some challenging times over the last several years and we’ve grown closer because of it.
  • I’m grateful to live only minutes from my Mom (75) and Dad (77). It makes it nice for spur of the moment visits and helping out quickly in emergency situations.
  • I’m grateful that my brother, sister-in-law and niece live nearby as well and that we all truly enjoy spending time together and are there to lend support when needed.
  • I’m grateful for the network of strong, intelligent, compassionate, funny, purpose-driven women in my life including my clients, my colleagues and my friends. They lift me up, motivate and inspire me daily!
  • I’m grateful for all of my creative passions: playing piano and singing, writing, watercolor, collage, photography, cooking, entertaining and travel.
  • I’m grateful for my lovely, eclectic neighborhood. For the diverse architecture, the gorgeous trees, the nearby lake, and especially the diverse people who make this part of Dallas such a fun place to live.
  • I’m grateful for my healthy, fit body that lets me do all of the physical things I want to do in life and for the fact that I happen to be one of those lucky people who loves to exercise.

I’ll celebrate my 55th birthday next month. While navigating many changes and challenges over the last five years including a tumultuous divorce, helping my aging parents, being a single parent and building my business, I feel like I am becoming the best version of myself ever and for that, I am truly grateful!

Nancy Weiss

  • I’m thankful for my grandchildren’s smiles, and Sundays spent cooking with family, for pets, long weekends, and a good night’s sleep.
  • I’m thankful for music, art, and my toes in the sand, seeing rainbows after a storm, mountains, and the sun on my face.
  • I’m thankful my husband can still make me laugh, for happy hours, dancing, and my time alone.
  • I’m thankful for my age because it’s given me wisdom through experience, and something to blame my mishaps on.
  • I’m thankful for family, and friends, and ice cream for dinner.
  • But mostly I’m thankful for my conversations with God which give me a peaceful heart.
