Whether the gift is store-bought or homemade, Mother’s Day gifts mom will love always come from the heart. It’s the thought that counts (or that’s what we are always told, right?). It is true; my favorite gift from my son was an award ribbon he made me stating I was the best cook ever. This coming from a kid that only ate chicken nuggets and hot dogs. But hey, I was the best cook he knew at the time.
DIY Flower Pots Mom Will Love
Flowers are definitely a Mother’s Day Gift that mom will love. You can create a flower pot to hold the flowers that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. You can make the following three flower pot ideas with items from around your home. If you don’t have all of the items, you can purchase them at your local craft store.
Clay Pot Flower Gift
Items Needed:
- Clay Pot, Any Size
- Acrylic Paint, Spring Colors
- Sponge Brush
- Live Plant or Silk Flowers
Directions:
- Paint the clay pot with acrylic paint, and let it dry for 10-20 minutes.
- Add 1-2 more coats of paint, depending on the color. Let it dry 10-20 minutes in between.
- Now the fun part. Have the kids create fingerprint flowers by dipping their fingers in the paint and placing it on the flower pot.
