Only Treats Coming Your Way in October!

Hello, everyone! How was your September? Does anyone else feel as though Autumn has snuck up on us?  Is it your favorite season, too? We simply adore the color shifts, the changes in the silhouettes and textures in fashion (hello comfy and cozy everything!), and it is the perfect time to reflect on what the season can teach us. It is time to give thanks to the harvests that nurtured us this year and for those who surround us.

Now for the treats we have lined up for you in October!

Health & Wellness

This month, we’ll hear a survivor’s breast cancer tale, during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and discover how to find a doctor who specializes in Functional MedicineA couple writers are taking on the “What/Who is a Woman Over 50″ debate, exploring our relevance across all the over 50 age groups, while another will ask the hard question – Is 50 really a tipping point? We also dove head first into figuring out whether or not collagen supplements offer real anti-aging results.

Fashion & Beauty

We are zooming in to take a closer look at the fall trends and at your fall/winter basics. Makeup artist Elizabeth Rist has been busy creating makeup tutorials for our new Youtube channel and, we’ll be exploring makeup specifically for women over 50 (using over-50 models!!). Celebrity stylist Wendy Iles is showing us how to style our thinning hair, and there’s going to be more style videos posted like the recently published 4 Ways to Update Your Wardrobe for Fall!

Career

For all the BossBabes in our audience, we’re going to offer some business casual fashion advice, while writer Jill Perrin is going to show us her favorite tools to design your life in creative ways-whether your the ultimate planning maven, or haven’t thought about your path in awhile. We also have a great piece upcoming that will teach you how to be your own PR company!  Anne H. Chow will share with us her strategy for fostering relationships, and explore their importance.

Entertainment 

From tales about Dresden, to vacationing in northern Michigan will have you looking to book your next travels ASAP. Writer Jo Howell finally learns to dance, Bethany Johnson is sharing some of her favorite Instagram accounts for inspiration and motivation (we all immediately followed all 5!) and she’ll also be sharing her list of favorite famous quotes to empower us throughout the dark days of winter.
